Sincil Street, Lincoln

Lindum’s team of expert joiners created new shop fronts as part of the Cornhill Quarter development in Lincoln. The structures were designed to be in keeping with the original Victorian street scene and were produced following extensive historical research. They were installed on units in Sincil Street and are part of Phase Two of the Cornhill project.

Overview

The design of the front is based on old pictures and photographs of Sincil Street in the 1900s. Although the original features were made from oak, the new fronts were crafted from sapele hardwood, which was chosen for its durability. Special tools were commissioned to complete the work.
