The Lindum Joinery Team were delighted to have HRH The Princess Royal visit their workshop on Friday, as part of her tour of Lindum Business Park in North Hykeham.
The Business Park was one of only three venues to be included in the programme for the Royal Visit to Lincoln and HRH spent nearly two hours looking round the redeveloped 21.4 acre site – home to some twenty eight different organisations, ranging from local charity organisations to technical companies operating worldwide.
The visit included a tour of the Lindum Head Office, along with both the plant and joinery workshops. HRH spoke to a large number of the employees, showing a good knowledge and understanding of the construction industry and, in particular, enjoyed looking around the workshop areas where the Lindum craftsmen and apprentices were at work.
HRH The Princess Royal concluded the tour by unveiling a plaque to commemorate her visit. She was presented with a posy by Charlotte Hampson, from Linkage Community Trust which has offices on the site, and was given one of the ‘Lindum Gnomes’ for the garden, as a memento of her visit.
